Donations

Donations to the Al-Anon Information Services office are made by mailing a check directly to the office address: 5429 Palm Avenue, Suite A, Sacramento, CA 95841. If you wish to donate to a specific program, such as Alateen, please indicate on the check or include a note.

Specific district donations may be made directly to the district representative. Donations received by the AIS office for a specific district will be forwarded to the district rep.

Individual group donations should be made to the group’s treasurer or group rep. Please inquire at your home group meeting to find out how to make a donation outside your regular support when the basket is passed.

Why We Donate to Al-Anon

Tradition Seven states, “Every group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.”

While contributions made when the basket is passed cover each group’s rent and other expenses, the Seventh Tradition is essential at every level of Al‑Anon service. It is both a privilege and a responsibility for groups and members to ensure that not only their group, but all service levels remain self‑supporting. This keeps Al‑Anon free of outside influences that might divert us from our primary purpose of supporting families and friends of alcoholics.

In keeping with Al-Anon’s Tradition Seven, Al-Anon is self-supporting, accepting contributions only from Al-Anon members and declining outside contributions.

What the Funds Support

While contributions cover each group’s rent and other expenses, the Seventh Tradition is essential at every level of Al-Anon service.

Donations made to the D6-10 AIS office help fund the operations of the book center, as well as equipment and tools used by office staff and volunteers.
